The Castell 9000 is Faber-Castell's classic dark-green hexagonal graphite pencil, launched in 1905 and long favoured by writers, artists and draughtspeople. Its break-resistant lead is fully bonded to the incense-cedar casing along its length for a smooth line. It is sold in 16 degrees from 8B through to 6H, covering everything from soft expressive shading to fine technical work.
